Writers in the Schools Fundraiser

“Filling the Notebook” is a fundraiser worth funding. Please help support one of our favorite Portland programs. Writers in the Schools hires professional writers to teach in every Portland high school for semester-long residencies that span the curriculum, reaching 2,500 students each year. Students share their work at community readings across the city, online and in print anthologies.

We were proud to offer our support by designing these event materials.

We are proud to work with OCOM. In 2012, Oregon College of Oriental Medicine will move their campus to Portland’s Chinatown. This is a fantastic move for the school, for the students, and for the revitalization of this historic, Portland neighborhood. OCOM Clinics are also fantastic. If you haven’t visited, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. They over-deliver with a team that includes an expert doctor, student, and support staff for acupuncture, massage, and herbal remedies. Bravo, OCOM!

GlobalCasesUSA.com has launched. This is a brilliant example of how we approach brand, digital, and inbound marketing for one client — in this case, focused completely on the B-to-B experience. We developed the brand, logo, identity, then pulled it through the digital marketing mix, creating this WordPress brochure site. We also helped established social media channels.

Marylhurst President’s Society Newsletter

Kudos to the fund-raising department at Marylhurst University. They have a phenomenal team of dedicated folks supporting Marylhurst’s mission. We are proud supporters. The department engaged The Dojo Agency to help establish a new look that followed and complemented Marylhurst’s newly minted brand standards. Among the projects, we had the privilege to interview students, who shared personal stories — how the generous support of donations continues to change their lives. We shared these stories in the newsletter. The piece was also transformed to poster sizes for billboards on campus.

The Dojo Agency’s graphic designer, John Stricker, offered his take on the Photoshop meme—doctoring the now famous White House Situation room, captured as they “receive an update on the mission against Osama bin Laden.” John’s version gained momentum online in blogs and social media—and now was picked up by The Atlantic.
